Merry Christmas..

I am stealing a few minutes out of my ever-hectic christmas day to write this blog.. we are home for an hour before we go out again!

So last night was Christmas eve and the family ended up going out for english fish and chips (singapore style).. and just quietly.. aussie fish and chips beat them hands down. It was so crazy on Orchard rd (the main rd in the city)... I reckon the entire population showed up. It was hard to move and there were people having fake snow fights left right and centre. It was a pretty awesome atmosphere apart from the queues and stuff. After dinner, we went to this little bar which (I took a few pics of) which had a live band.. and as far as asian standards go, they were pretty good. The bar was set down from the road and so there were like hundreds of people peering down to see the band..

Anyway.. today had been great so far.. woke up reasonably late for christmas morning, I think the novelty of waking up early has worn off. I got pyjamas, jewellery, a dvd player, clothes, chocolate, makeup and money. So smiles all round. We headed into town for lunch coz none of us could be bothered going to all that effort.. and we ended up at this awesome irish pub that offered a 5 course xmas lunch. It hurt, but I managed to eat all 5 courses... I am definitely not eating dinner tonight haha. In a little while we are going to the east coast (it was so nice the other day, we are going back!) to sit on the beach and drink champagne and strawberries. Haha so fancy. So.. all in all.. its been a pretty good christmas.. cant really complain :)

I'm heading to Hong Kong tomorrow.. so I will hopefully have lots more to write about soon!
