Day 29 ... highlights last full day in utter relaxation mode ~ le sigh
... we spent a good part of the morning getting our permanently expanded suitcases in order knowing we'll be up early tomorrow to begin our transport back home.
... we had a few things to dry out from the beach yesterday so we went and hung out at the pool, soaked up some sunrays, did our puzzles and dried our damp items [strewn across the pool fence ].
... around mid-afternoon we decided to head to the Croisette and wander ... on the way their via pubic transportation we spied a rather appealing looking fruitstand at the Place de Marche bus stop area - so feeling like a snack and slightly adventurous we hopped off, bought a pint of strawberries for 5 Euro and walked along the street eating them ... delicious ...
... as we made our way window-shopping down the street we stopped in a couple of shops and picked up a few small items ... then just in time to take advantage of our transfer ticket we hopped aboard a Croisette-bound bus once again ...
... once at the Croisette we slowly wandered down to the beach area, I ended up get some braids done in my hair ... couldn't seem to talk Bean into getting any in hers ... darn it!!! Afterward we continued our aimless roaming for about an hour then went for one last quartre formages pizza supper ... followed by a soft icecream cone. We stumbled once again upon an "open air" market with the theme being art [paintings, sketches, pottery statues, reusable materials statues] ... ended up purchasing an old sheet of music with a coloured sketch of a ballet dancer ... lovely and unique item to frame and put in Bean's room ... she loves the purchase as much as I do ...
... that's it for our day today ... carefree, aimless, and unfolding before our feet ... I really like these kinds of days ... be back to the structured daily grind soon enough !!!
Today's Photo: me & Bean encountered this poor creature during our ambling this afternoon ... this is what they do to dogs in France ... notice the French head gear ...
