Raequel Giles Travels
Day 28 ... highlights a day at the beach and a great supper in great company
... another day of letting our path unfold as we walk it ... once again a wonderful petit dejeuner from the hotel buffet and then we decided to head to a beach [there's plenty to pick from here ] ...
- set-up our beach blankets ... don't believe in using towels in this weather ... we do get some curious stares from folks around us because we don't have the a-typical "beach set-up" ... but then again I'm not a-typical
- soaked up some power sunrays [with copious amounts and applications of SPF30]
- worked on our puzzles
- went for a swim, Sabine did "the starfish", to a rock formation island ... she was uber proud of herself for making it there and back [have to say I was rather proud of her, too ]
- built a sand fortress around our beach blanket using our hands, elbow grease, and a great digger rock we found ... [again lots of curious looks especially at me ... I think this crowd just sits and does not "do"]
- watched cloud formations ... it was interesting, the blue sky never left the beach we were on but we got to observe from a great vantage point the convergence of two cloud systems and the formation of a bloody massive thunderhead cloud ... the rolling and building at the top was impressive
- soaked up some more power sunrays ... did some more puzzles
- watched Beanie dig holes and make tunnel connections
- went for a great pizza supper with my best gal Bean
- hopped aboard the bus again and toward relaxation in our hotel abode
Today's Photo: Bean is getting really good at making friends ... a pic of her, in the hat, and Phillipa from England [they made sand crabs until Phillipa had to leave for lunch]
Cheers - RGR
P.S. didn't matter how many applications of SPF30 I used ... I ended up burning the lower parts of my butt cheeks of all things ... guess I didn't apply as well as I thought!!! it's weird to have heat radiating from that area ...
