If there's one thing that we'll bring back from our trip to Canadialand, it's a new-found fascination with ice hockey. We do have it back home but it's nowhere near as huge as over here. Go Canucks go!
Anyway. This evening we decided to head to a bar for a little bit before tonight's game (in Vancouver we could head to a bar *for* a game, but I doubt they'd be showing it here :D) and after a bit of wandering around we came across an "irish" pub and had a couple of drinks. I'm using quotation marks because I'm not sure how irish sweet potato fries are, but my god they were tasty.
Aidan is a fan of ale so he tried a bottle of Dead Elephant, which was apparently very nice. I tried a bit but ale isn't my thing so it just tasted of blarrg and pleh to me. After our drinks and snacks we were given a couple of Life Saver mints with our bill. They look like giant Polo mints but they didn't taste like them. I decided it was like sucking on a urinal cake; there's definitely mint there, but there's also an overwhelming antiseptic flavour. Still, trying new things is part of life.
Tomorrow we're planning to go to the Royal Ontario museum which looks huge. It has a very interesting bit on the front which I'll try to get a nice photo of, and loads of exhibits and things that sound good. They had me at first nations art and mummies.
