Mr Wilkinson asked me to say a very big thank you to all the students and staff at MHS. He felt very privileged at being invited to join you all for the trip and he thoroughly enjoyed the day. He was very impressed by how much everyone knew about the First World War and by all the interesting questions he was asked. I also really enjoyed the day and learned so much.

What a wonderful day we had in Ypres.
I am so pleased that everyone enjoyed the experience. Thank you to all the wonderful staff who came,to Colonel Ray Wilkinson for spending the day with us sharing his knowledge about the World war 1 and all our lovely students who showed such interest and great respect.

What a fantastic day, the students were brilliant and very respectful throughout! Chocolate shop visit made for a very noisy journey home with Hamish and Oliver doing 'spot on' impressions of Mr Grieg to keep us entertained! Thanks very much to Bridgette, Sue & Polly for all their hard work - it was certainly worth it.

I had a fantastic trip to Belguim. It was a long and tiering day. We learnt lots about WW1 and the best bit was the trench and the chocolate.

I had a great time but my favourite bit was the tunnel and trenches. I felt scared. I loved the chocolate tart!

It has been a great day. My favourite was going into the trenches- seeing all the holes and all the guns and all the swords.
