Moor House School were lucky enough to go to Belguim to visit some very historic locations to do with the First World War. We are travelling on the 5th November by coach and will spend the entire day out. This is an account of what we did and how we felt during our trip. A huge thanks goes to Mrs. Greig, Mrs. Harrison and Sue Brady for making this day possible. A special thank you also goes to Colonel Wilkinson for his fabulous whole school assembly and for supporting coach 2 students.
Finished our time in Cloth Hall with a trip to the chocolate shop. The children were offered a bundle deal of chocolate for 10 euros. What a deal. Hopefully some of it will make its way home.
That trip was amazing. We got a discount for some amazing chocolate. Thanks

Mr Wilkinson asked me to say a very big thank you to all the students and staff at MHS. He felt very privileged at being invited to join you all for the trip and he thoroughly enjoyed the day. He was very impressed by how much everyone knew about the First World War and by all the interesting questions he was asked. I also really enjoyed the day and learned so much.

What a wonderful day we had in Ypres.
I am so pleased that everyone enjoyed the experience. Thank you to all the wonderful staff who came,to Colonel Ray Wilkinson for spending the day with us sharing his knowledge about the World war 1 and all our lovely students who showed such interest and great respect.
Mrs Frost
What a fantastic day, the students were brilliant and very respectful throughout! Chocolate shop visit made for a very noisy journey home with Hamish and Oliver doing 'spot on' impressions of Mr Grieg to keep us entertained! Thanks very much to Bridgette, Sue & Polly for all their hard work - it was certainly worth it.

After a long day remembering the soldiers that fought in WW1 we all rushed into the chocolate shop to spend our money. I have never seen anything like it. It was something like a shop from the Charlie and Chocolate factory. Everyone was going crazy for sweets and chocolate.
