Our last few days of Thailand were spent in Au Nang, Krabi. There wasn't a great deal to do here so we mainly spent it doing some shopping and getting rid of our last lot of Thai money on souvenirs. We all had a tattoo done as a memory of our travels. I had a turtle on my finger and the other girls had elephants on their feet.
Turtles symbolise.... Longevity, wisdom & knowledge. They walk their paths in piece knowing slow and steady wins the race so you take in every detail and know you'll get there eventually. They keep you grounded and patient in tough times x
They were done traditionally with bamboo and needles which hurt a lot. Krabi town is more of meeting point and you can get to a lot of places from there. We took a boat trip one day to another island called Railey beach which had its own markets and restaurants, it was our first time on a long tail boat even though we have seen them on every island we have been on.
I've had brilliant two weeks in Thailand and would defiantly like to return and do the north as well as some islands that I missed, it's a beautiful country with so much to see.
Our next stop is Malaysia, we have to leave Krabi at 6am and get to Penang at 4pm by bus.
