Hi Everyone

Hope everyone is good...and enjoying the sunshine at home! I thought I'd just give you a quick update of where I am now!

I am currently in Airlie Beach which is basically a holiday resort built around a port. There are lots and lots of boats leaving here everyday going on the classic 'whitsundays' sailing trips. I arrived here on monday morning (after a horrible overnight bus trip!) but my boat doesn't leave until tomorrow, thursday, so I have had a couple of days to relax, which has been really nice. I have taken the opportunity to have a few lie ins, catch up on my diary and just potter around. It's fairly warm here so I managed to get a bit of sunbathing done yesterday until it got too windy... I'm hoping the wind dies down a bit before tomorrow or it could be a bumpy ride on the boat... although apparently this is supposed to be a good time of year to go sailing as it isn't jellyfish season and also not rainy season.

The hostel I'm staying in at the moment is quite nice, it obviously used to be a very dated hotel as all the rooms have ensuite (well if you can call it that, more like a smelly bathroom!), a little kitchen area and a balcony. And the beds are pretty compfy so thats a bonus! It's also right in the middle of airlie beach so easy to get around. There are some lovely 'surfy' type shops here but I'm trying to resist buying anything!

I spend two nights on the boat and arrive back into airlie beach on saturday morning. I have the rest of that day to chill out then its off to Magnetic island on sunday. Heard it's really nice there so I'm looking forward to that!
