After Rockhampton we went to Hervey Bay to do a Fraser Island tour, Hervey Bay is quiet but has a nice beach so we just went there for the day. I had a double bed in my dorm yay!

We chose a company called Dingoes to do our guided two day Fraser tour, it was great! We met lots of nice people! Our tour guide Dave was soooo funny he was a true back to nature guy and his been on the island 18 years, he doesnt where shoes and has an obsession with all things to do with the island, the sun, star signs etc! He was cracking jokes the whole way and laughing at himself constantly looking back at us and not the road to see our reaction which was halarious, a couple of guys from Manchester we met where trying to take a pic of him checking out his joke reactions in the mirror!
On the first day we did a couple of walks through the rainforest to Lake Wabbi and a nice stream too they were beautiful! Then we went to Lake Mackenzie after lunch which was beautiful we swam in there for a few hours.
We had a night out in Dingoes bar at the resort we were staying with two girls we shared a room with Ang and Katherine they were really good fun and the guys from Manchester we danced the night away and there were some serious shapes going on haha! James was so funny wiht his dancing a proper Jarvis Cocker! His a real character and so funny!

The next day we climed the Indian Head to get a great view of the island and sea, we could see some big rays and turtles from up there! We saw sand dunes and some more nice lakes and drove the 75 mile beach before heading back to catch a ferry to Hervey Bay. We were a bit annoyed that our hostel didnt book us in properly when we got back and we had to leave a nice air conditioned clean room to go beaches which had no air con and was gross! A guy Emma has pulled was staying there so I think she was secrectly pleased lol! We went out for the night with him and two french guys from our hostel they were so funny and obviously I had to practice my french ALL night! TURNE A GOUCHE! Anyway we went to the Irish bar which shut stupidly early so we gate crashed this house that was next to our hostel that a guy called Simon lived at and also someone called Bernie (I decided Bernard was better and proceeded to call him this much to his annoyance) anyway we drank all their goon and generally terrorised before leaving :)

Next we headed to Noosa! xx
