Ignore the map please, we are in the Cederberg mountains and heading north to Namibia. It's in the mid 40's centigrade and very windy.
We've some photo albums and postcards to add after our Cape Town visit and a thank you note for Heike, Clint, Simon, Lyn, Ken and Nancy for hosting us. However we've driven 30kms from our campsite to get internet access and it's painfully slow so no chance of photos or postcards being loaded in my lifetime. Will try catching a pigeon.

Hi there ! Just want to find out whether all is fine with the Landrover - and what your plans are from here on. Was really great to have you here with us - certainly has improved my alcohol consumption (not much of a challenge - that one). Saw McNaughts Comet clearly from our balcony on Wednesday evening - quite spectacular. Was drinking some champagne with my neighbour - and wondering whether it was an alcohol induced vision in the night sky !!
Wish you well for your travels - and looking forward to having you join us again soon !!

Happy New Year - sorry not been in touch - thanks very much for voicemail - great to hear you are having such a good time. Escaped Xmas and got back from India this morning and just surfacing from 3,000 emails - so looking good for 2007. One way or another I will be in Africa this year. Really enjoying working with Roger - we are going to do a "Roger goes wild in Africa" on Travel website. Not surprisingly Namibian Tourist Board love his images so who knows - lots of deals to be done with them and hopefully the other African Countries. Spoke with Miles on Skype this evening - he is back in Botswana on 23rd January and would be delighted to meet up with you. Really great guy - you will like him - and his knowledge of game, flora and birds is formidable - although you may have to help him round up up some Wildebeest!! Have a great 2007 - best wishes - Rob

Jim And Linda In Santa Barbara
Ralph and Angela,
Best wishes for a fantastic new year. Enjoy the Garden Route. We had a great time there when we drove it in 1998.
The sun is out here in Santa Barbara. We fly down tomorrow to Fullerton to spend New Years Eve with Mike and Denise. We'll toast you as we celebrate the New Year.

Hi everyone,
Thank you all for your messages over the last couple of weeks. We've reached Knysna on the Western Cape Garden Route after a blissful 10 days right on the coast at Tsitsikamma National Park watching the Southern Ocean waves smashing in to the rocky shoreline.
Will update with photos and a postcard shortly.
Happy New Year to everyone

Its always such a pleasure reading your travel postcards.........We really miss your sense of humour Ralph! Hope you think of us all while you walk along the beach on Christmas day, sunning yourselves, while the rest of us are frantically applying the fake tan to look half human for the drunken Christmas day pictures. As usual, I am sure everyone here will eat far too much so our tummy's are so big we end up looking like one of those whales you will be watching!
