Ralph & Angela's travels
Well, since the last postcard we've moved to Greenhithe (Thames Estuary) courtesy of Rob Hale. Great views of all the ships and bodies coming in and out of the Thames, very exotic.
The house exit on 2 June went smoothly apart from a last minute crisis (45mins before the agent was arriving with the new tenants) that involved Angela, a blocked downstairs toilet, the main sewer, me and a set of drain rods and brushes. Fortunately I avoided any splash back and we were able to leave as though nothing had happened, except for a residual odour that you could put down to the general smell of Reading. Apologies to everyone I shook hands with during our leaving party at the Pier Hotel Greenhithe the following day, I did scrub my hands but sh*t sticks as they say.
Angela and I enjoyed the party at the Pier, thanks to everyone for turning up, even those that weren't invited, and even those who only came because the England v Jamaica game was on TV in the pub, thanks to all three of you. Special thanks to Rob for organising the day, we loved every minute of it and it was great to see you all, even Terry.
We are visiting more friends and relatives over the next 7 days and then we are off to Pietermaritzburg.
