Ah Malaysia! What can I say?
Our time with you is at an end, and I have to say I am pretty sad about it. Firstly because when we leave you, we are on our last step home - just a hop, step and a jump through Thailand before we are welcomed back into the Uk. But secondly, and more importantly, because you have been so bloody marvellous to us.
You have treated us like lifelong friends arriving at a wedding reception, welcoming us into your country with open arms, and providing us a month long party that I will never forget. Whether we were rocking out with Orangutans, or hanging out with the locals, we always felt like we belonged and that you were happy that we were there.
Our congalines into the rainforests have provided us with much enjoyment, as well as profuse sweating, and a little trip to the Rainforest Festival was the party really getting into full swing. Even our time in KL, although not hugely enjoyable, was like the slow dance as we wound down towards the end. All of this helped by the fact that we have had some great accomplices and dance partners, a couple of which I know Dan and I will never forget.
It really is a tough act to follow, and as our little adventure draws to an end, the Thai party really has a lot to contend with.
Can lady-boys and strip clubs really contend with jungles and open air concerts?
I doubt it.
