Had a scenic bus ride into quito through the cloud forest, and had a good bus driver, which is always a bonus! Stayed in a hostel in the Old town, which was a nice neighbourhood. Had a bit of a look around the city and orgainsed a jungle tour.
The hostel had a sweet roof top balcony and sold cheap beers so we enjoyed a few with some other travellers and sampled an equador cigar.
After 2 nights in Quito we took the bus out to lago Agrio, which is a dodgy frontier town between equador & colombia, but fine for 1 night before we got picked up for our jungle trip in Cuyabeno National Park.
