After a nice stay in Bonito we got on a bus to head for the Paragauy boarder. Along with the oz/dutch couple we also met an english couple heading same way, so when we got to the boarder we all went to the same hotel.
Ponta Pora is a funny boarder town with the main street being the boarder. So we stayed in a hotel in Brazil, then we crossed the road and went to a restuarant in Paraguay (different language & currency!).
After a good night sleep, we spent the next morning sorting out exit stamps for brazil, entry stamps and visa for paragauy and trying to find a cash machine that would accept our card. We got lucky with the paraguay visa and instead of paying $45US each managed to get a transit visa, which meant we could have 72 hours in the country.
We then got on a bus to take us across Paraguay to the capital city, Asuncion.
