Arrived to pooring rain in Innsbruck after trying to escape it in italy, so made our way on public buses to our camp ground on the outskirts of town for some shelter. Meet a couple from Holland cooking dinner under a sheltered area in the camp ground. As we were low on food and the supermarkets were closed for the day they generously offered us some of their sausages, which we accepted and added to our pasta mix, pretty much saved the day there.
Next day the weather was much better so we checked out Innsbruck and found some sweet mountain bikes to hire for the following day. That night meet up with the Dutchees again and we taught them how to play 500 card game. They caught on pretty quick dispite the language barrier, so we were stoked to be able to pass that game on in turn for the food the previous night. Also meet a Austian guy who started working out all our star signes and gave us some advice on living life and what might be instore for us in the future, pretty funny dude really.
Next day we went back into town and picked up our bikes with hydrolic discs, full susspension and all, to take up into the mountains for some riding. After a bit of getting lost we eventually made it on to a mountain bike trail and headed up some big steep climbs to the upper mountain area, had a bit of luncgh that we took up from the super market and then got some nice down hill ridding to test out the bikes properly, they performed awesomely, so they are now the new standard for back home, I hope... After our ride we found a beach bar that had been built in the centre for a few beers and radlers. Looked like a few trucks had tipped loads of sand in the square and then put a few deck chairs around and called it a bar, but actually worked pretty well.
Got a good nights sleep and in the morning headed back onto the train to make our way to Maurach near a lake in austria.
