After weeks of cycling knackering our legs, it was time to give our arms a go. We met up with Nick, Irene, John & Lindsay at Calpe for a spot of climbing - although our arms maybe got more tired lifting beer after beer! A big thanks to them for providing good food and great company. Even after a few rounds of "43", we still totally failed to get Nick to demonstrate his special banana trick...
The floods we'd seen on the news had receded but had left devastation in their wake. The view from the Penon D'Ifach (the huge rock sticking up into the bay Gibralteresque-like-ish-ly) back to the town let you clearly see where the beach had ceased to be attached to shore and was now drifting far out to sea as a sand slick. Note to selves: slippy rocks on a polished precipice and bike shoes with metal cleats do not mix.
Day N/A (unless you want to count time in a car!)
