Just-Imagine!
Sunday 7th Dec - Great flight with Singapore Air - service and food were good, watched movies, had some sleep. We arrived at Paris airport 6.50 am local time, we sat down to organise the new sim cards in our phones - was this a good idea! I guess we will find out. We found our way out to the trains easily enough. With a little help to buy a ticket for the express train to Disney Land, it was nice to get on the warm train as there was a bit of nip in the air (2°C). The coldest that Liam has ever felt, he was soon into his gloves, boots and jackets. Anyway - back on the train we expressed right past the station we were meant to get off at. With some assistance from the train man we hopped off at the next stop to turn around and come back only to discover that the return train was running an hour late. So a mistake of 20 minutes took us nearly 2 hours to correct. When we managed to get off at the correct station the next trick was to find our way to the hotel. After a while I noticed signs on all the buses parked outside the station, so we looked for the one with our hotel name on it - easy when you know what you are doing!
Finally settled into the hotel room at Hotel Kyriad. A little basic but comfortable, one forgets European hotels don't have tea/coffee making facilities, Liam is excited about staying in a hotel room, if only he realised it will be the first of many on this holiday. He has a bunk bed to choose from and he takes the top, which is good so our cases can sit on the bottom bunk.
After a rest we headed out to Disneyland for a look, the weather had set in so a fine rain mist made the evening a bit damp, but still able to walk around with out getting too wet. We happened to walk straight into the Christmas parade so that was spectatular surprise to see. We were told tomorrow being Monday the park won't be quite as busy, so we found a place for some tea then headed back to the hotel to be nice and rested for a BIG day tomorrow.
