Well Tom and I have just returned from a tour of all the beaches in Sydney - we did a walk from Coogee to Bondi Beach. Thats right piglets, I've just been swimming in the cool blue waters of Bondi's famous surf central. Woah ha ha ha!! The walk was a lot of fun actually, we got to see a load of the coastal sights as well as the beaches, and considering this is a city, its rather beautiful and peaceful. Lovely.
So basically if you ever have the opportunity to come to Oz then check out this place - its fantastic. The whole city is clean and relaxed and full of that summer vibe that makes everyone happy and everything look nicer. I spied an office of Allianz Cornhill here too...thinking of asking for a transfer! We had a couple of slightly overcast days tho, altho a break from the heat was quite nice, so we did lots of sight seeing. We took a day cruise around all the harbours - its a bit scary to see all the shark nets, you dont really relate sharks to cities, but it doesnt take away from the beauty of the place. We also checked out the aquarium and naturally some of the harbour bars....its been grand.
We're staying in this wicked hostel called 'Wake up!' which is totally like uni and so we've sampled a few beverages and basically had a bit of a halls experience - lots of shared bathrooms and kitchens, but its all brand new and pretty swanky. We checked out lots of Irish pubs (and there are a lot) all over, got the best pub meal I've ever had from this awesom Tavern in Surrey Hills and sampled a couple of draughts from this kick arse pub with 64 pumps. Oh yes!!!!! My particular favourite was the beez neez, and Tom quite liked Hahn (because he's german and also gay). We've slapped on some more pics for your viewing pleasure.
Right then folks, I best be off - gotta pack our stuff up as we start our tour tomorrow - going all the way up the east coast, to Alice Springs and Ayres Rock, up to Darwin and then down to Melbourne for the next 5 weeks - we'll pop a few notes on when we can, should be rather amusing, as the Tooheys reign continues....Tom is winning still. Or should I say Sebastian! But he's a tad sunburnt, so I win there.
Cheerio for now chappers, love to you all from Tom and Rach xxxx
