Rachie and Joey's Round The World Adventure!
Hello!
Well i'll try keep this short and sweet but we've done so much in 8 days its going to be tricky! We've stayed with John, Ann and Ashley - family friends of Jo's and I've got to say they are awesome! We have been taken everywhere during our stay and made to feel so welcome, thank you all for making our stay so enjoyable!
We took a trip to a peanut factory which was really cool! Basically you try everything before you buy so we made our way around the whole place and ate a lot of peanuts! Everything from ketchup flavour to burning hot chilli (which I did try and regretted when I couldnt feel my tongue).
We headed into Toronto City one day and went up the CN tower. The views were amazing! I was brave and laid down on the glass ceiling - was pretty cool until some div decided to jump on the glass which kind of freaked me out :) The pictures will tell all! We then took a trip around the Blue Jays Stadium which was really cool! How freaky though when we bumped into a couple from Eastleigh! We basically had a whistle stop tour of the pitch, changing rooms, media boxes, very posh executive boxes! Was good fun :) The tour guide kept us entertained with his odd ways!
Niagra Falls were absolutely stunning. It was a lot more commercialised than I thought it would be, but the falls themselves were stunning. We took a trip on the maid of mist boat and went real close to the falls themselves! We had very nice blue macs to wear whilst on the boat but still managed to get soaked. We went behind the falls too in the caves which was fun! We checked out a butterfly farm where we saw loads of different types, but I got slightly freaked out when they kept flying around me! hehe Now I know how mum feels when theres a moth around!
We couldnt come to Toronto without going to a town called Southampton :) Very odd to see somewhere with the same name! It was totally different as you can imagine! Was a very sweet little town though, and there was a really nice beach there too!
Well I've kept it short and sweet as theres so much to tell you all but not enough time to write it all out :) We're heading to Raratonga now which is going to be slightly different! We're going to miss John, Ann, Ashley and the cats very much but looking forward to taking them to the Bouze Rouge on their next visit to the UK!
