Four days in a sleeper cabin with English girl, Mongolian girl and Russian bloke. Had a great time with Russian children playing games, learnt chinese rummy by the aussies in the next compartment and learnt to drink vodka Russian style.
Spent by birthday with a litre of wine and chapagne looking out the window crossing the European russia and jumping out at stops buying bits and bobs off the babushcas who wait on the station platform selling their wares.
The train its self has two very small bunk bed type fold out beds and a small table thing in each cabin (although at the front its just beds and no tables and no dividing walls.) There is two toilets per cabin, and hot water on tap for all your noodle needs. The train is also red hot and heated by a coal furnace which for some becomes unbearable at night.
Our russian chap Igor couldnt sleep it was so hot so instead slept for a few hours during the day.
The scenery was stunning, everthing was white and like out of a winter wonderland.
I shall update with pictures and more infor soon, but for now gotta run to Catch a train to my last stop in Russia Ulan ude.
