Despite typing this is an internet cafe in Siberia, Moscow is the coldest place I've ever been to. Unlike St Petersburg it doesnt really stand out from any other capital city in the world. There is a big department store, lots of shops and in the centre of the city is Red Square and the Kremilin.
Luckily for me I have as international student card so I can get into Museums cheaper than usual, but the usual price to get in the Kremilin is 300rps and is totally not worth the price to see a few churches and a view of the city. My feeling may have been hampered a bit by the fact I was feeling as though I was about to freeze to death!
Only had a short stay in Moscow but saw the main sites such as the Kremilin, Cathedral of Christ the Saviour, The big Peter the Great pirate ship statue, and Red Square and not to forget the Metro stations and Lenins tomb.
The most impressive thing about Moscow has to be the metro stations. All of which are very ornate and stunning to look at, nicknamed palaces for the people, they are covered in marble, mosaics, statues, gold leaf...Transport for London should really get their butt over here and see how its done.
