Thai tummy hit us today so we spend the majority of the day in bed eating McDonalds, which almost tasted exactly the same as home. It was probably caused by the delicious mysterious noodle soup that we had the day before.
Once recovered we took a taxi to Siam Square for tea at the Hard Rock Cafe. In my family, we collect magnets from every hard rock that we visit. From Honolulu to Beijing so we had to visit the Bangkok one too! I like how Hard Rock Cafe adapts their menu to each country to include local dishes but with a dodgy stomach, I stuck to what I knew, a burger and fries.
This part of Bangkok is very different from the part we are staying in. It reminded us of what Tokyo looks like with bright lights and lit up signs everywhere. We were definitely in the upmarket side of town, no longer the backpacking side.
After tea we headed over to a sky bar and after a bit of a wander around (we got lost) we made it to the red sky bar. The views over Bangkok at night are stunning!! The cocktails aren't too expensive either, £7 so just like at home but with a better view.
I could have stared at the view all night but our bed was calling.
