Rachel's Eurotrip
PARIS PT II
So on the last day in paris, we went to see the musee d'orsay. To me, this museum was much more enjoyable than the lourve. We mostly spent our time in the impressionists and pastels wing. We saw a lot of works by monet, degas, picasso, etc.
We had to wait over an hour to get into the museum and it was out in the cold! Adam overheard people saying that tuesdays (which is the day we went) the lourve is closed so there are even more people that usual on tuesdays at the orsay. but it was worth it! I really liked the paintings we saw, and by far my favorites were degas. He did a lot of pictures of dancers, sculptures too. When i get a chance to upload pictures you will see, almost all the pictures I took there were of his works. Of course i got in a pic or two of monet's giverny.
Then we headed over to hausman's street which is where all the department stores are. Adam wasnt in much of a shopping mood, but then he went off and got coffee and i shmoozed around galleria lafayette. HUGE STORE. very cool. And I stumbled upon an amazing crepes place on the street outside and of course had to get (another) nutella crepe. YUM!
All in all, paris was a great trip! It is a beautiful and romantic city!
