I went to the house of nobility which is based on the Gamla Stan, it is only open for an hour each day during the week so I had planned everything else around going to see this house, it turns out that you are only able to go into 2 o the rooms one being the blue room and the other is they state room!
The blue room is literally a deep blue colour! And is filled with Chinese china painted with the nobilities crest of arms! There are plates, bowls tea cups and all of it has been painted to beautifully! There are 2 other cabinets in the room which are filled with signets of the noble crests some signets are rungs and others and stamps and some are made of metal and others are crystal! There are so many of these signets it's madness, now that I think back however it is likely that each o these signets were also represented in the state room which had square steel plates covering all of the walls. These plates each ha a noble crested painted on them and there were 2330 plates in this hall!
The state hall was quite amazing with a large painting place in the middle of the ceiling and a throne-like chair positioned on the one end! This chair carved out of ivory and has scenes duplicated on the longer rungs of the chair! The nobility house is only used once every 3 years where all nobility has to come here and have a meeting of some kind!
