Today Tom, Katherine (Toms sister) and I headed to the Tower of London.
To be honest, this was something I had been looking forward to for a while and it did not disappoint.
The beefeater tour guide was funny, and so interesting-his stories about the area were fascinating for a history geek like me.
I think coming from NZ, such a young country we don't have such and established history-so being in central London in a place like that was just epic.
We sat in a cathedral on the grounds were the body of both Anne Boleyn and Katherine Howard lay at the front of the pulpit.
After reading so much about these amazingly strong historic figures, then to see their resting places was just amazing.
Perspective is an interesting thing.
The history geek in me was just so excited. I can't wait to see more.
