Venice the city of love! We are staying outside of the city in a Camping village-in Italy this is defined as a gravel filled lot with a pool and a few bungalows. We were driven into to the city, took some public transport closer and then wandered the city for the morning after seeing a lace and glass making demonstration. Juliet's balcony (supposedly).
This morning started early as we're staying at a resort/camp site outside of the city. We left at 7.30am for the Vatican tour, covered appropriately-my sequined hot pants weren't acceptable attire for the Pope. The morning was spent touring St Peters Basilica and the Sistine Chapel Lunch at the colleseum, then I trained home myself and arrived back at camp with all my organs. Win!.
Guess where we are! Arrived yesterday and did a walking your of the city. We held our bags close to avoid pickpockets everywhere we went and lots of hawkers tried to sell us irrelevant touristy things we didn't need. Amazing little city on the top of a mountain, gorgeous little church with small streets and wild boat panini is the speciality. Yum!
