Howdy all,
Today has been action packed. Firstly ranger simon spotted bears; gorgeous, cuddly, brown bears playing with sticks.
We ventured deep into a 'crystal cave'. Just like candy mountain it was sparkling inside with phenomenal stalactites and 'mites.
The large trees were then calling us from their great heights especially the great Sherman which is claimed to be the biggest tree in the world. It sure is a big one!
We decided to climb Morro rock which towered over the trees. Long, long drops either side of the climb. How Leo laughed as he pretended to fall over the side....why can't mom see the funny side of this? At the top, a work out better than a trip to the Marriott, you could see for miles and miles...a true mountainous region. ( ohhh and a big brown daddy bear spotted by the junior rangers.)
Finally we decided to watch the sun set whilst tucking into yummy kebabs overlooking the river. A river which the boys discovered had a gentle current similar to romsey rapids. Natures playground .... You just can't beat it!
