Hello again, well here I am in Huon Valley, Tasmania, after eventually getting a flight mid afternoon on the 23rd costing us another $150 - money us backpackers don't have!!!
We flew into Hobart which is a beautiful City then had to catch a bus to Huon Valley which is where we are staying - Tasmania reminds me very much of England and Huon Valley is just like being at home, full of grass, trees and beautiful views. This trip was not what we expected - basically we were promised a lovely hostel in the Valley and 7 days a week work to help us get some cash together before we go up the West Coast - when we arrived it was pitch black and we had to put a tent up as there were no more beds available (one thing I didn't want to hear anyway let alone with the hangover from hell), there were no phones, one computer for 100 people to use the net which was well expensive, no shops or anything near by and basically no work at all, not to mention we had to camp in the freezing cold (the weather is below 19 degrees nearly everyday here - not to mention I had no-where to plug my hair straightners in). To be quite honest, we should have seen the signs when we missed the first flight!!!!
I am really glad I came to see Tasmania as its a lovely Island but as there is no work here we are going to fly back to the mainland tomorrow to hopefully find some work elsewhere as we are rapidly running out of money!!!!
