Hello again from Down Under,
Here I am after finally reaching Darwin after 4 weeks in a camper van on probably the most boring yet beautiful roads in Australia. I can't really explain how beautiful some of the sights were but I will post some pictures as soon as I get more time. We could drive for literally 200k's and see not one person on the road, then all of a sudden come across one of the most amazing lakes/falls I have ever seen in my life. One thing I will never forget was Shell Beach which we did not have on our itinerary but happened to come across it while passing through WA, it was a beach made up of literally just pure white shells and the blue-est water I have ever seen in my life and it was all totally natural - really beautiful.
The whole trip was done in our camper van which was really tight but such great fun at the same time. We literally lived in this van for 4 weeks and honestly thought that we would end up insane but we had the times of our lives.
As we reached Northern Territory the weather became so hot/humid it did get really really hot so we tried to live in the bush as much as we could - true Northern Territory style!!!! I will explain to you all when I get home exactly what I mean.
We eventually arrived in Darwin on 30th July and stayed in and around the City for a few days relaxing on the beach while we decided what to do next which brings me onto the next section......
I decided that I wanted to try and do as much of Asia as I could before I am due home in September, so I booked a flight to Asia leaving tomorrow.......... The other girls have all got different plans so its going to be a sad day tomorrow when we all part ways!
Well, I am very reluctant to say goodbye to Oz (and of course the girls that I have been travelling with over the last few months) but of course looking forward to the next part of my trip. Australia has been 'one' if not 'the' most amazing experience I have ever had in my life and in all honestly I think the only thing that will ever beat it will be getting married or having children(one day)!!! This has not only been the trip of a lifetime as far as seeing the world is concerned but it has been a 12 month mental adventure (for the positive of course) for me and anyone who has been travelling around the world seeing all different cultures/walks of life will understand exactly what I mean. I just wished I could put into words exactly how AMAZING this trip has been - I will treasure it for the rest of my life!!
Well enough is enough. I won't bore you all too much as I am sure that most of you will see the pictures/memories I have got when I get home. I have heaps of things to sort out before I leave Oz so better make tracks - its not all sun, sand and beer you know!!!!!
Hope you are all well, I look forward to updating you all when I reach Asia and hopefully will have a little more time to add some pictures of my road trip.
Luv Steph
