Tuesday : Overcast
Love this hotel! It's just so quiet! We slept in late today, and nearly missed breakfast! After breaky we went for a walk to a park that was a bit out of town, but not too far from our hotel.
The park was nice, very hilly, with good views and nice pathways and stairs leading you through the trees and past a few fountains. It also had a large cave with an entrance that had Roman or Greek styled columns and headstones. The cave was surrounded by man made rock formations with hidden sitting areas too. Most importantly though the park had a vineyard, and we were able to sample some of their wines, while looking at the view. The wines were surprisingly very tasty too.
We then walked back to the old town and went looking for the beer spa. I must say the spa was very fun, and ultra relaxing. We sat down in these baths that were filled with water, not beer, but with the finest ingredients that make beer. The best thing is that there is a beer tap attached to the bath and we could pour our own, and as many as we want! The next stage was to lay down on a hot bed all wrapped up to let the bath ingredients work their magic, while still drinking beers! Then it was massage time, which after carrying around these heavy packs was great.
After the spa it was time for dinner, we went to find a restaurant that some friends recommended to us. We had a nice pork neck and another snitzle with some red wine.
After dinner we went for a walk over the river and up to the castle. It's a very nice view from up there. We watched the sun set and moon rise. We then went back down the hill and over the busy Manesuv Most Bridge looking at all the statues up on the bridges handrails. We picked up some ice creams for the walk back to the hotel, then went to bed.
