Sunday : Fine
Big day of nothing today. The hostel stored our bags and let us use their facilities after we had checked out. Never did see the other roommates.
Kim whipped up another tasty omelette and then we just hung out for a few hours using the wifi until it was time to catch the train to Prague.
It's was great to be back to Germany, the people are very friendly and easy to communicate with. The north is definitely different to the south. Munich and Bavaria are very traditional with their restaurants, buildings and houses. Whereas Berlin and the surrounding areas that we visited were more modern. It would be good to come back to Berlin in 10-20yrs to see the changes after all the restorations and construction work in the centre have finished.
The train trip was good it took a little over 2hrs, and we seemed to follow a river for most of the way. Passing riverside towns and through the mountains.
Once in Prague we had to find out if we needed to get our passports stamped, because no one on the train knew. We were flying to Paris next, so we don't want any trouble at the airport. We went to an info desk and the lady seemed pretty certain that we didn't need a stamp because Czech Republic is in the EU and we were going to another EU country next.
From Prague's main train station our hotel was a 10-15min up hill walk. It's been pretty flat going so far, and I was pretty sweaty by the time I got to the hotel.
The hotel is fantastic! We were very surprised to have free wifi and breakfast, the room is huge too! It's a corner room that overlooks a garden and other buildings.
We passed a super market a block before the hotel, so we went back there to see what we could find for a cheap dinner. We picked up some KFC type twister baguettes, some deserts and a few beers. Man the beers were cheap 50p for 11% bottled beer! We booked ourselves in for a beer spa the day after tomorrow, Kim is super keen! I'm not so sure, but it has unlimited beer on tap while your there so ill give it a go!
