It was a bit sad packing up the camper trailer today knowing we had spent the last night in it for these holidays. We decided to book a motel for Cobar tonight, it is a bit of a tradition to treat ourselves to a motel on the last night of our trips as the last 2 days are usually the longest and hardest and the last night is always cold closer to home.
We did a little over 600kms and I think the kids have finally had enough of the car today! It was a tough trip with grumpy kids but I really can't complain as they have been so great with the long days traveling so far. A quick lunch stop at a bakery in Bourke (with some of the yummiest pies ever) and a quick stop at the pharmacy for some ointment for Ed's conjunctivitis (this kid can't catch a break) and it was back on the road.
We got into Cobar at about 5ish and settled into our motel. It is also a bit of a tradition for us all to head out for dinner on our last night, so off we went to the pub for tea. It was a lovely meal with great company and the kids were so well behaved. A great end to our holiday.
