I've been getting up to lots. I joined two clubs, the Kuwait Offshore Sailing Association (KOSA) and the Kuwait Writers Club. Very civilised. I'm happy. Both are about fun things and involve great people who do other interesting things. I bought a new laptop. Quadcore, 2GB RAM, fits in my pocket. Sounds like a weird laptop. That's because it's a Samsung Galaxy Note 2. It only just fits in my pocket ;) The reason it's my laptop too though is I have a bluetooth keyboard for it, and the Screencast dongle which sends the screen wirelessly to my TV. Voi la, laptop. Should've seen the look on my face when I figured out how to send sound to the stereo simultaneously. I will never have a laptop again. And screw tablets, the Note 2 screen is practically that size. To think how big I thought my old HTC Desire HD was when I got it two years ago!
Now I have this new phone and am doing fun things like sailing and writing regularly, I'm starting to see how things could work out in Kuwait. Last couple of weeks I was seeing the negatives, inevitably... But so long as I can ruthlessly pursue what makes me content, and sleep well during the week, I can imagine being able to do this for a while.
I hope you enjoy the below, thankfully it was well received at the club :)

It was June the 10th, 2011. I was trying to be better than others, as usual. One day, I won't be, and I'll be ok with not being. This hasn't happened in the past 29 years though. Anyway back to my autobiography. We were walking. It was a long walk, but we'll get to those boring details later. The walk was 100km long, the Oxfam Trailwalker Brisbane, to be completed in
