Moto trip report Day 1

Tokyo – Fujisawa

This was supposed to be Tokyo – Shimoda although it turned out I took until 4pm to get to the moto hire place as I spent so long having to organise stuff, including about 2 hours to get a damn phone (an hour of which was waiting to get approved). There was further stress the first day as I found out my card had been blocked… fraud dept at my bank decided by suddenly turning up in Japan was suspicious, when my being in Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam, Malaysia and China before wasn't! Not a nice surprise but all worked out in the end after some phone discussions. The stress was not over though as I hadn’t made any contingency plans for what to do if I didn’t reach Shimoda. Again all was well in the end though as I just asked random strangers for advice where to stay and was eventually pointed to a capsule(!) hotel near Fujisawa station, a mere
