We took a trip to Dunsborough on the number 903 bus from the Tourist Information Centre in Busselton this morning, which is about 25km away. The place, although quite scenic, was completely dead! I understand that its not quite the 'season' yet, so maybe we should give it another chance but the town seemed deserted of people and atmosphere! The bus did not return for about 2 hours so we had plenty of time to kill. We walked along to the beach and ate some lunch while being harassed by a gang of seagulls - then walked round ALL of the shops! But that wasn't too hard!
A guy came running out of the local tattoo and piercing place to speak to Dave about his arms! Turned out that he had a mate in Landscaping, so it was a lucky thing!
Apparetly 'Hot Chocolate' does a good Hot Chocolate - funnily enough! And they did have a shop stocking loads of dog clothes and accessories, which was quite amusing.
Sadly we did want to find the car rental place but couldn't! It seems as though you needed a car to get there in the first place! Rates start from $30 per day, which compared with bike hire at $35 a day in Busselton, seemed amazing! We will have to try and locate that one another time, as there is so much to see in this region and down to Margaret River. There are loads of wineries and places that need to be seen!
Theres not much more I can really say about Dunsborough - the tattooist said they liked it there because it was much quieter than Busselton.
