Hey there everybody,
how are you all ? I'm doing fine and having alot of fun. I've moved back to Perth to finish waiting for Alan, however i can tell you that i'm going to miss Freemantle. I did some more buskin after my first attempt and it just got so much better. On the sat i got $26 dollers and on the sun i got $41. So in the end i earned about $90 form street proforming with covered most of the room cost i had that week. So the following monday i had a day off and went to Freemanlte prison, no i was'nt going as a inmate!!! The prison has been shut since 1991 and is protected by the heritage trust, due to it age and historical importance. It was built when the first settlers can to Oz by the convict's that where sent here. It's was built by the cons for the cons. The tour is great and it take's you all around the prison into the cells, the puisment block, the church, all over it. In the last year that the prison was open the prisoners where alound to paint on the walls, as thay thought that the building was going to be knocked down. As it was'nt this picture's remain here for all to see, some where very good and some where just a psycologist's dream come true. The guide told us that some of the picture that where in the prison where that bad that the windows of the cell had to be blacked out and the doors locked. The day after i went to the Maratime museum and car museum. The maratime was pretty cool, as thay house a out of commision sub-marine which you can do a tour around which i did. Having never been on a sub before it was interesting to get shown around and the guide was very good as he had served on a british sub and knew alot about life on board. The display's where also good bosting the boat that beat the american's in the america's cup, some of the local ferries that had been decommisoned and the light form a local light house that was shut down. Althought the car museum was small it had some really nice motor's in there. Thay had alot of cars that had been drove by Jackie Stuart as well as, Sterling moss's cars and the Oz land speed record attempt. So as you can tell i've been taking in the local history around Perth and freemantle and i've really enjoyed my self working the street's ( so to say ). Now i'm back in Perth taking it easy with some of the people that i've meet untill alan get's here. Take care all i'll be back with another insatlment soon. Love and light to all C
