Hey there everyone,
were still up in Cairns. Went out for a 3 day tour of the Daintree rain forest in Cape Tribulation. It a really special place as it's the only place in the world where you can walk from one world herritage listed place to another. The rainforest it's self fulfills all 5 of the specifications that dictate weather a place can be listed as a world herritage site. 1, it has cultural and natural heritage 2, cultural landscapes 3, movable landscapes/structures 4, unique life, 5, shows contiual evolution. So it's pretty special here. There is on power grid here so all power is generated, and most the water come's from tanks. They have a huge amount of rain here ( thats why it's a rainforest ) in the wet season it can have 2 neters of rain in a day. Think the thing that was really cool was, we walked though the forest and on to the beach where you can then see the great barrier reef. No our secound day there we headed out to the outer reef to do some snorkeling. We thought about doing some more diving but where told that you really did'nt have to as the vis was so good. It was, we could see the bottom ( about 25 meters ) and see everything that we needed to see. Turtles, blue spotted ray, a patato cods to name a few. It was a good day but tiering and after some beer we slept well. The last morning there we went to the local water hole for a swim. It's on the masson family land so yo have to ask. The masson family where one of the first to come to the rainforest and have been here for 4 generations the preasent owner is the great great great grandson of the first person to come to the forest. It was cool to go and swim in there as you could'nt swim on the beach. To much risk of being eaten by crocs or shark, or stung by stinners. We had a great 3 days and now where back in Cairns, gonna have a day of rest then do some fishing or something before heading back to rainbow beach to do a skydive as it's cheeper there. So i'll talk soon take care all C
