Boo! It's the last day of my trip and though I'm relieved two week of hectic traveling has a pause, but it'll all start again tomorrow! Anyway, was pretty much awake before 630am when Mitch, Michelle and the rest of the crew came knocking at our doors. It's breakfast time! I saved a little time in the queue by changing in bed before the light came on (a practical travelling tip esp when you're in a rush!). Our wet suits were all hung by the fireplace so it was warm by the time we grabbed them and popped them on! We were off to another beach about 30 minutes away, which had good surf reports for the day. It's absolutely freezing in the morning! Even the sand was frosting. We quickly donned on our suits, and after a quick explanation on how the wave works and breaks and how to use it to our advantage, we wasted no time and started surfing! It was so much more peaceful today! We only had about 3 hours of it and we were already tired out, but it was real good fun! We had a quick shower and packed our bags before waving goodbye to the friendly surf crew. A definite recommendation who those who wants some good surf lessons! As the sun set, we made our way into the busy city of Sydney, through the harbour bridge and pass the opera house before pulling over by King's Cross Station. It was here we say goodbye to our lovely tripmates and our friendly guides! WIth a heavily heart I checked in to YHA and shared a final meal with a few of my trip mates before bidding them goodbye and preparing for my new journey tomorrow!
Looking back at the two weeks I've had, from strangers to friends for life, from apprehensive to anticipation to each day, from missing home to missing trips. Loving this! All this makes me appreciate myself and the reason why I love to travel alone. It does get lonely sometimes, but it makes you appreciate people and moments more. (:
