Oh Thailand, Thailand, Thailand......
Simply just saying the words brings back warm memories and soothes the soul! How do i begin.....hmmm well basically had the sickest time going. From the beach parties on Kao Phangan and Phi Phi to the Sunsets over Kao Tao, this country has it all! We have seen so much these last few weeks, all be it at a more chilled out pace, as sleeping in the afternoon sun on the beach is clearly a must!
Highlight of the thai islands has to be the day we rented out motorbikes on Kao Tao (4 quid for the whole day, including fuel!)and attempted to explore the island.....even managed to persuade Jamie to give it a go, however after a mini crash trying to scrammble up this dusty rocky track he decided to give it a miss for the afternoon, so i went it alone! Loved every minute of it, these tracks are ridiculous, massive hills and crappy ground, but so worth it when u finally arrive at some secluded bay with virtually no one else there, so u dump your bag, dive in with your mask and snorkel and explore the coral! Purely magical when your rewarded for your efforts by bright tropical fish, a sting ray, small shark, and all this with some 30-40 swordfish swimming with u!
Met lots of cool people round the islands too, everyone there was much nearer our age, as cambodia and Vietnam everyone seemed older and far too mature for even me?!
Have been to some of the most romantic places on earth i rekon, especially Halong bay in Vietnam, watching that sun set over the water on top of our boat with limestone stacks all around, sky turning pink and red.....lean over to share this romantic moment with the one im with and realise its Jamie D and not some Gorgeous girl, but alas nevermind, was a special moment indeed!
As for Singapore well have been treated like kings here as Jamie's dad Martin has friends out here and they have looked after us so so well, taking us to swanky 5 star hotels for dinner, and to see all the sights...fab!
So thats it South East Asia over, on to a new chapter of NZ for 6 weeks......
Have truelly loved thailand thou, it has opened my mind a lot 2, made me think more about the choices i have made in the past and will be making in the future......
Hope i Havn't made you slit your wrists back home listening to me rabbit on about how fantatsic Thailand is, hear your having pretty cold weather, but hey snow is cool, u ever tried making a snowman out of the sand?! ....not cool!
Love to all xx
