Well we've had our first trip on the Greyhound! I got up at 8.30am this morning and headed downstairs to Skype my parents at 11pm (their time, 9am my time). I have discovered that Skype works on my phone which has opened a whole new world of cheap phone calls to me! Well we've made it to Townsville! Not a great deal to report in terms of our day - we just travelled 750 miles in a Hyundai 8 seater, taking the scenic route to avoid the floods. We saw a kangaroo! After over 8 hours of travelling it took us another half an hour in the rain to find a hostel in Townsville. Another day in rainy Cairns! We had a nice lie in until around 11.30am, before heading to the Lagoon for another day of attempting sunbathing. I didn't get loads of sleep because we had to pack and check out of our room by 10am. We couldn't go to our new room until 2pm which was inconvenient, so we just waited in the tv area.
