We had to get up really early today to pack and get the bus to Byron Bay - it wasn't easy having gone to bed at four and potentially still being drunk. We had a bit of a lie in before getting up and showering. Rain again! We got up and changed to our second hostel, Brisbane City Backpackers. It was about a 20+ minute walk through the rain, uphill, with our backpacks. Once we'd arrived though we were rewarded with a free upgrade from the $21 dorm we had booked, to an $105 private room! We woke up and checked out at around 10am, and went online for a bit to book our hostel for Brisbane. The one we wanted to stay in wasn't available for the first night, so we booked one hostel for one night and another for two nights. We got the free bus from our hostel to the Noosa National Park, and had a nice walk along the coast. We even saw a Koala in the trees! The views and coastline are amazing.
