We woke up to a bit of cloud in the sky but thankfully no wind. During the night we could hear the humpback whales slapping their tails.
We drove about 10 Kms to Turquoise Bay in the national park which has awesome snorkeling straight off the beach. There is a very convenient little current that drifts you down the beach straight over the beautiful coral so you don't even really have to swim. We bought 3 noodles in Exmouth so the kids had masks, snorkels and flippers and floated down the current on their noodles. We were all very impressed with the colourful coral and fish that we saw. The water was coolish and the air temp about 24 degrees so we were all freezing when we finished a few rounds of snorkeling. Back to camp for a warm lunch and an afternoon fishing in the bay where we are camped.
The Taylor fishing tally now stands at Pippy 2, Kate 1, Geoff, Rowena and Benjie zero. None of them keepers though so it was meat again for dinner.
