Well, travelled quite along way since kaikoura now. We left kaikoura and did lots of travelling including a nice rough ferry crossing to wellington (the capital city) where we were very interlectual and went to the museum of New Zealand (really we just played with all the bits for kids). Its just your average big city really.

We spent two nights in Wellington then got the coach up to Napier where we stayed in an old prison, our room was the infirmary! Was really fun and a really nice place, everything was really new because of new zealands biggest ever natural disaster which was an earthquake in 1931 it killed 258 people (nice fact for you there)

Now we are in Taupo which is New Zealands largest lake, its bigger than singapore and is an active volcano. One of the mountains next to it was mount doom in lord of the rings :D
