Hay everyone,
Last night I went up the road bor a few beers. Was pretty tired from the big trip in so I retired to bed early. Got up around 5 this morning. Phone was on silent and saw a lot of missed calls... sorry Todd. Started walking up the point to the surf break. It is about a 15 minute walk becuase the point break is so long. I got to the top when the sun just came up and was the first one in the water. Had the point break to myself for about 30 minutes. A few older Aussie guys paddled out with me. The surf was awesome. About 3 - 4 foot and it peeled down a sand/rocky headland for ages. I got some really good rides. Ended up getting out of the surf about 8:00 when the crowds picked up to about 20 people. Spent most of the day chilling on the beach and napping/reading. everything is very quiet around here. I went into the town in a tuk-tuk to change some travellers cheques. I had to meet with the bank manager for some reason. When I was in his office a crowd of about 10 people stood out the front of his office staring in at me and watching everything I did. It was really weird... not too sure why I was so interesting. I have also made friends with a Sri Lankan guy who works at the place I am staying. He looks like he is 13 years old, but he told me hes 18. Everytime I leave to go somewhere he asks if I am going to get ice-cream. I think he really likes ice-cream and wants to go with me to get some. I am about to go to the local shop and pick him up an ice-cream. Probably head to the pub this afternoon/tonight. Probably be an early night again...pretty tried from surfing/napping all day.
I hope eveything is well at home.
Kris
