Today is the 23rd Aug, two days until i receive my laptop! Very excited. I just finished playing in an Alzheimers Fundraiser tournament down at Cedar Rapids which is just over and hour away. We were playing at a country club, apparantly Sachin reckons you have to pay $10000 to join, if you ask me, thats bulls***, but it was still a very nice place. We had to play mixed doubles. I was put with a lovely man named..cant actually remember what he was called now. But we won. It wasn't the sort of tennis anyone back home would think i played. It was casual and boring. But still fun. They served dinner, and wouldnt you no, they served chips and cookies for a dinner side...But anyway a fair few people rocked up for the event later, just before the fastest serve competition. Low and behold I won (even though there were four girls as opposed to 25-30 guys lol) but I couldn't take my $25 because of my scholarship. I got 103km, not that impressive but hey, it got me through! I had another match this morning, it was so long and boring i nearly fell asleep. We mixed with club members today so it was even worse tennis. But I met a couple of nice ladies and talked about Australia. It's amazing how many people don't know about vegimite. And no one understands my name. Parents what did you call me???!!! I say Phoebe, but my accent must be thick and slow or something because no one understands until I spell it out and then they act as if i have no idea how to pronounce my own name!!!

I got most of my textbooks today. Just over $550, and I still have to wait for a few. I nervous about starting class but at the same time I cant wait for many various reasons. One of my textbooks is about the "slaughterhouse" in east america or something, so my decision to become vego is looking promising for the first time!

Well I'm a bit hungry, I've eaten watermelon and cheese today and its 3:16pm, its horrible!!! So i'm going to go on a hunt!
