Doha was pretty straight forward, but no point in taking any pics, just a load of dusty desert, laminate floooooooring. Only a short wait though happy days.

The second leg was a bit longer, 7hours 45mins or so, sat next to a guy called Lionel, a oriental looking guy from Borneo Sabha region, who was working in London for an oil company, hadn't been back to Malaysia for over 3 years. Good lad to chat to.

Food was pretty good again, normal cooked breakfast, and later on they chucked us a samosa wrap to nom on.

Quality lightening storms over the area, completely lit up the sky as we were approaching KL. luckily we already cruising at below cloud level, so no engine exploding to make a dramatic introduction to the area.

Weird layout of the Kuala Lampur airport, get off and then travel on monorail miles to collect baggage. Had to walk through duty free before anything, probably quite business savvy that. Really quick and easy process once again, even through customs, no sandwiches to smuggle through this time. Got my bag as soon as I turned up at the carosel, it seemed almost like a half first class trip.

Met Gen and her brother Neil and sister Melissa at the arrivals. Instant memories flooding back of Gen from when we last saw each other, she has longer hair now, but still looks like she hasn't aged at all. Went for a belgium meal of pigs in blankets in a nice gravey and strawberry beer. Obviously the first place you should take someone for their first time in Kuala Lampur

Checked in to the De Palma hotel near where Gen stays in Ampang. On first inspection the foyet looks pretty posh like the marriots, the rooms were a little different on quality, like a travel lodge, but still pretty decent. Slept like a baby.
