Decided to stay another night and as I had a funny head, (not alcohol related) Jayne walked into town on her own and Tess and I stayed put in the shade and I read my book.
Later Jayne reappeared with gifts and I am the proud owner of two linen short sleeves shirts and a polo shirt, Burton's were having a sale, so I am smartened up and later we dropped back into town and picked out a lovely top for Jayne. It has been very nice just relaxing and we took Tess to the river again.
Whilst there, we met a lady who spoke with a French accent, but she turned out to be Canadian and had lived in France for many years before finally retiring. Sadly she lost her husband about 2 years ago and was finding life a little difficult. They used to go motor homing together, but she now can't bear to go in it because it still had his things in there and smelt of him; it was sad, but she was staying in hotels with her 8 month old brown Labrador, who ran Tess raged. She was totally exhausted when we started walking back.
The aire had more vans in and as we were getting ourselves sorted out a van pulled right next to us, which was a bit odd, as there was 200 feet between us and the next van. Their rear garage door had a window in it and later on, they let out a dog, we thought. Well, how wrong we were, there was a bit of a commotion and the woman sounded terrified. We looked out and couldn't quite believe it, they had 4 husky type dogs all being kept in the heat of the storage area, which in our van said 30c!!!
