As I only had two nights here in KL, today was going to have to be the only day that I head out and do some sightseeing. There were not many places that I wanted to go and see but I couldn't come to KL and not go to the Petronas Towers.
Because of last night’s drinking I wasn’t up and out as early as I wanted but I at least I was up and out by 10am. There was no sign of Donna and we had made plans last night to head out together today but as she was very drunk I knew that she wouldn’t make it out this morning. We had planned to get up and go to the Petronas Towers at around 08:30 this morning so that we could get tickets to go up to the 41st floor sky bridge, but as it was late now, all the tickets would have gone for today so I didn’t bother heading over there.
As I could go up the Petronas Towers today I went for the next best thing and walked over to the Menara Kuala Lumpur (KL Tower) for the viewing deck instead. It was a nice day today and I got some great pictures of the city.
Information about the KL Tower.....
The Kuala Lumpur Tower (officially known as Menara Kuala Lumpur; referred later as KL Tower) is a tall tower located in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Its construction was finished in 1995. It is used for communication purposes and features an antenna that reaches 421 m (1,381 ft), which currently makes it the eighteenth tallest freestanding tower in the world. The roof of the pod is at 335 m (1,099 ft). The rest of the tower below has a stairwell and an elevator to reach the upper area, which also contains a revolving restaurant, providing diners a panoramic view of the city. Races are organised yearly where participants race up the stairs to the top. The tower also acts as the Islamic falak observatory to look for the crescent moon to mark the beginning of Muslim month of Ramadhan, Syawal, and Zulhijjah, to celebrate fasting month of Ramadhan, Hari Raya Aidilfitri and Aidiladha.

After the KL Tower, I walked over to the Petronas Towers. Even though I didn’t have tickets to go up to the Skybridge which would have been amazing to go across, I still wanted to go and seem the towers and get a couple of photos. It was quite a walk over to the towers but it was a nice day and I get to see more of the city as I walk around.
Information about the Petronas Towers.....
The Petronas Twin Towers (also known as the Petronas Towers or just Twin Towers), in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia were the world's tallest buildings from 1998 to 2004, when their height was surpassed by Taipei 101. From 2001 the towers remain the tallest twin buildings in the world.
The Petronas Twin Towers were the tallest buildings in the world until Taipei 101 was completed in 2004, as measured to the top of their structural components (spires, but not antennas). Spires are considered integral parts of the architectural design of buildings, to which changes would substantially change the appearance and design of the building, whereas antennas may be added or removed without such consequences. The Petronas Twin Towers remain the tallest twin buildings in the world.

After visiting the Petronas Towers and taking some photos, I walked back to the hostel where I met up with Nick and just as we were heading out we bumped in to Donna as she surfaced from her dorm room. Yes, it was 16:00 and she had only just got up. Good job I didn’t wait for her this morning.
We asked her if she wanted to come with us as we were heading out to try and find the shopping mall that had an indoor theme park with the world’s biggest indoor rollercoaster. Now this was something that we couldn’t miss. The three of us got some directions from reception and headed over to the Times Square Mall where we found Cosmos World. We all bought a day pass and then for the next couple of hours behaved like big kids going on all the rides and as it was very quiet we didn’t even have to queue up for any of them.
Cosmo's World is an indoor theme park located on the 5th to 8th floor of Berjaya Times Square, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. It is conceived as the "largest indoor, all weather, all ages, entertainment destination in the region". Cosmo's World theme park is indeed the largest indoor theme park in Asia.
