Today was another quiet day for us. The sun came out for most of the day, but the clouds have returned now, and we've got our scattered showers back. We're hoping to be rid of all the rain as we head north from here...
We had our tour around the park with Alan (owner) this morning, and he is one of life's gentlemen. In all, we were with him for about 2 hours, picking his brain about all sorts of things caravan park related, and not once did he hesitate to answer or try and rush us through. The time spent with him was incredibly valuable, we've got loads of ideas, and our only problem is having the money to implement them and to order them in priority to know what to do first at home. Hmmm, at least getting the handbrake to agree to spend it is taken care of...
After our park tour, we headed towards the city for a tour through the Haighs chocolate factory, and although it's not as expansive or impressive as the cadburys factory, everything is still done by hand, with a great deal of pride by their employees. The chocolate is also much nicer, but, by comparison, much more expensive... We still couldn't resist a bit of indulgence, and walked out with a couple of bags of goodies each... (well, no different to a bakery really, is it?)
The rest of the afternoon was spent back in Adelaide's shopping precinct, not that we needed anything, but the boys have money to burn, and Adelaide is, after all, pretty boring. I don't wish to offend anyone, but anywhere called 'the city of churches', can't have too much else to offer...
Tomorrow we begin our trip north, towards and through the middle of Oz, and this is when we expect the boys' education will really begin. The luxuries and conveniences we live with and take for granted every day will begin to disappear, and they'll get to see the conditions other people have to live and deal with. It should be interesting...
As an afterthought, just in case you missed how relevant it was yesterday, The Avengers movie is still the only topic of conversation we're interested in, and if 'the handbrake' hadn't put her foot down, we probably would have gone back to see it again today...

Aunty Min Peter!! Adelaide is gorgeous, there's sooo much within such a short distance. Maybe more of a holiday spot then a stop over spot though, because it is spread out, you do have to drive to see & do things. Things will change from here on in on your trip, but WOW what an experience. Just keep in mind when you shop, you're supporting locals, shop local (that makes you feel better when you're paying $14 for a hamburger!) Drive safe & enjoy the warmer days as you head up up & away. PS I've heard The Avengers Movie is OK, might take the family. :-P hehe
