I made reference in an earlier blog about a salad I had on Sunday for lunch. I ordered the Grande. I should have ordered the Petite. It was lovely. You can see Carol's Petite in the background. It was still quite large.

The photo is of Josette and Jean-Marie (our hosts). The have just left. We had a lovely early evening having a drink on our terrace speaking broken English and very broken French. Their farm is 30 hectares producing apricot, wheat and Rosemary. They built the 3 apartments we are staying in between 1997-2003. They have been built to a very authentic standard. They run and he paraglides. A truly lovely couple.

This is the view from our balcony. Unpacked the bikes. All o.k. Went into Avignon for a big shop to stock up. Huge supermarket. Sells everything. Must have spent close to 2 hours wandering around it. Bought a bike pump for €13. It will do nicely for a month. Got railroaded into having our windscreen washed. The further railroaded to pay €5 for the pleasure. Lunch. 40k ride to get legs going. Quite a bit of climbing. Strong wind. Scary going downhill fa...

Carol insisted on this photo as I pigged out on the beautiful breakfast. I held off for a while but ultimately conceded and ate a croissant (delightful). Just had enough resolve not to go for a second. We can see blue sky evolving. Should be right for a ride later. About to put the bikes together. Then heading off to buy supplies and a bike pump.

This is the breakfast that our host Josette brought in for us this morning. Baguettes, croissants, home made apricot jam from their farm (where our Mas is located), real butter, tea and coffee. Tres bon! Josette has invited us to join her and her husband Jean-Marie tonight at 7pm for an aperitif. Bonsoir (this blog by Carol)
